Everyone has heard, the numbers of steelhead are down this year on the Upper Columbia and Snake River tributaries. It is true, and what it means for future returns of steelhead I do not know but that is a whole different discussion. I do know steelhead fishing was never meant to be easy and it only takes one fish to make a steelhead trip for me. In fact, a fishless eastside steelhead trip this time of year isn’t all that bad. Beautiful time of year to be on equally beautiful rivers!

Nice work Zack! Cool report and solid fish. Stoked for winter steelhead season, hope to see you on the water.
